How It Works

How It Works
The challenge of adding resistance by using Zumba®Toning Sticks (or light weights), helps you focus on specific muscle groups, so you (and your muscles) stay engaged!
Lightweight maraca-like Toning Sticks enhances sense of rhythm and coordination, while toning target zones, including arms, core and lower body.
Vinyasa Flow, likened to a dynamic dance, is a practice where poses are connected through the breath for a transformative and balancing effect. Vinyasa Flow classes build heat, endurance, flexibility, strength. The creative sequencing is often built around sun salutations. This style integrates physical poses, breath work, meditation, and other traditional elements of yoga. It is designed to be fun and accessible for all experience levels. Variations will be offered so that each student can create their own space for connecting with their breath while listening to the needs of their body.
Power Yoga gives both beginner and advanced students an intense, sweaty yet nurturing practice. As a challenging version of vinyasa flow, modifications to suit the various levels of students will be provided. Classes will generally begin with sun salutations and move into flowing standing and twisting sequences. Power yoga includes backbends, arm balances and/or inversions and finishes off with a relaxing Savasana.
Ashtanga Yoga is s a method of yoga that involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures—a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.
